HI has been present in Indonesia since 2005 and in NTT since 2010 and have since contributed to the disability movement through various projects designed to enhance participation of people with disabilities in various topics of the development process including inclusive disaster risk management, inclusive education, and inclusive planning and budgeting process. HI is currently implementing Building Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth through Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) participation in NTT province (BISEG) project, with the support of funding from the European Union. 

In order to support the project implementation, HI is looking for a Thematic Officer for capacity building and disability.

Position Title: Capacity Building & Disability Thematic Officer
Location: Kupang, NTT province
Closing date: rolling (this position will be filled as soon as the suitable candidate is identified)
Basic Salary Range: Rp 6.3 – 7.5 million IDR depending on objective weighting of candidate’s profile and non-negotiable.

The successful candidate is expected to start as soon as possible by the end of September 2019.

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Thematic Officer will be under the line management of the Project Manager and be based in Kupang, NTT province. His/her tasks in particular are:

•    Building capacities of project team and implementing partner on inclusive livelihood through training and coaching 
•    Implementing selected activities related to promoting inclusive growth towards key stakeholders
•    Providing technical inputs to the project implementation in regards with inclusive livelihood opportunities for beneficiaries and activities led by the implementing partner
•    Developing guidance and tools to ensure project meet HQ quality standards in terms of inclusive livelihood/sustainable growth
•    Contributing to monitoring, evaluation and capitalization activities in relation with the Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth component

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

•    Candidate must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in Economics/Business Development
•    Good knowledge of livelihood/economic development
•    Have practical experience in the field of disability, excluded group and support to CSO
•    Minimum 2 years working with INGO
•    Experience in developing training material dan facilitating training for vulnerable groups, service providers and local authorities
•    Experience working with people of different cultures;
•    Experience in local planning-budgeting processes

Profile Required : 
•    Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team;
•    Excellent analytical skills;
•    Proven oral and written communication skills;(in English)
•    Organized, creative, motivated
•    Good in computer and communication skills, fluency in MS Outlook is desired
•    Proactivity and autonomy
•    Problem solving
•    Coaching and mentoring skills
•    Demonstrable Relational skills – public speaking backgrounds, facilitation, persuasiveness 
•    Have technical skills in empowering project officer
•    Capacity in drafting synthesis document and guidance note to Making documents

Miscellaneous:
•    Licensed and willing to ride a motorbike for work purpose
•    Local recruitment – there is no support for mobility for non-resident applicants out of Kupang

Initial contract will be for maximum 1 year with a possibility for renewal
