Qualification
Holds at least a bachelor degree in Social Sciences/Law/ Public Health
Min. 2 years of relevant experience in non-governmental organizations
Proven understanding and experience in planning and implementing organizational events
Proven work experience demonstrating above-average interpersonal and, both verbal and written, communications skills
Proven understanding and experience in planning and implementing advocacy activities
Proficiency in writing advocacy materials (i.e. memo, brief, press release, position paper)
Knowledge in policy analysis
Knowledge in qualitative analysis
Demonstrates good English language skills (oral, reading, writing)
Proven ability to prioritize a high workload and juggle competing demands
Demonstrates constructive attitude, positive-thinking, effective problem solving, and ability to adapt with team members and stakeholders
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and to deliver quality work on time
Demonstrates understanding of tolerance and values diversity of cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age
Scope of Work

Stop TB Partnership Indonesia

The Stop TB Partnership Indonesia (STPI) is a national platform of Stop TB Partnership. STPI provides a platform of inter-sectorial partnership that supports National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) since 2013. This organization consists of 75 national and international partners that collaborate to end TB in Indonesia. STPI operates under the strategic direction of a wide range of expertise, such as the Board of Trustees and Advisory Board, representing public health practitioners, academia, development partners, as well as public and private sector.

We are looking to employ a dedicated Advocacy Officer to join the Advocacy & Communications team to support our advocacy strategy implementation, write and disseminate advocacy materials, manage relations with relevant stakeholders (i.e. parliamentarians, activists, community groups), and coordinate organizational events. We prioritize candidates who have above-average communication and interpersonal skills as well as some proficiency in writing for advocacy.

Duties

Take the lead in production of writing and/or multimedia materials needed to support advocacy activities
Identify short-term and long-term opportunities and key actors that can influence policy processes relevant to TB and health
Collaborate with the Advocacy & Communications Coordinator to plan, conduct and evaluate lobby and advocacy properly to targeted actors
Assist the Advocacy & Communications Coordinator to plan internal and external organizational events to influence decision-making and policies regarding TB and health
Collaborate with the Advocacy & Communications Coordinator to develop and implement effective advocacy strategy based on our vision and missions
Facilitate STPI Governance & Partnership team to assist in advocacy strategies and implementation in pilot project activities
Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders involved in STPI activities, particularly parliamentarians, activists, community groups
Contribute in writing up monthly report, specifically about advocacy activities
Identify opportunities to enhance STPI’s network and coordinate advocacy collaborations with relevant external stakeholders
Proactively handle challenges as it arises and escalate relevant issues to Advocacy & Communications Coordinator
