Established in 1944, the WBG is one of the world’s largest sources of funding and knowledge for development solutions. In fiscal year 2018, the WBG committed $67 billion in loans, grants, equity investments and guarantees to its members and private businesses, of which $24 billion was concessional finance to its poorest members. It is governed by 188-member countries and delivers services out of 120 offices with nearly 15,000 staff located globally. 

The WBG consists of five specialized institutions: The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Development Association (IDA), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), and the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). The World Bank is organized into six client-facing Regional Vice-Presidencies, several corporate functions and thirteen Global Practices to bring best-in-class knowledge and solutions to regional and country clients.

The Environment, Natural Resources, & Blue Economy (ENB) Global Practice has been set-up to deliver on the opportunities, benefits and outcomes offered by enhanced management of the environment, natural resources, and oceans. The ENBGP has close to 300 operations under management, representing close to $7 billion, and a growing pipeline of new investments under active development.The practice consists of some 300 staff across the world plus numerous other staffs in other Practices and Cross Cutting SAs that are professionally associated with it..  ENB GP also manages the environmental risk aspects of about 2000 projects in the World Bank’s global portfolio.  About 150 staff work specifically on environmental risk management safeguards.

The World Bank Group seeks to support Indonesia’s sustainable management of priority rural landscapes by fostering an integrated approach to land, water, and forest asset management. Acknowledging the inter-linkages among these assets is critical to ensuring their sustainable future. In doing the activities, the Environment, Natural Resource and Blue Economy Global Practice (ENB) needs consultant to support the implementation of sub-projects in community, local government, as well as central government levels to assist with the development and implementation of its operations.

The program is currently seeking for a Short-Term Consultant (STC), based in the Jakarta Office, that will support team and operations under Indonesia Sustainable Landscape Management Program (ISLMP).

Duties and Responsibilities

Scope of work/list of deliverables include, but not limited to:
1.      Assist in reviewing projects procurement plans, annual work plans, progress reports, and provide comments to task team.2.      Assist in mission planning including drafting mission announcement letter, mission agenda, and aid ememoire.3.      Participate in meetings and events as requested and provide minutes of the meeting along with any materials shared during the meetings/events.4.      Liaise with the clients as needed and guided by supervisor.5.     Assist the management of outreach and publication of projects under the team.6.      Assist in monitoring pipeline and portfolio such as milestone, disbursement, and key actions agreed during missions.   7.      Assist in securing and managing documentation in shared folders (One drive) in accordance with the projects in close coordination with ACS.8.      Any other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor, as required.
Qualifications
·       A master’s degree in environmental science, forestry, natural resources management, climate change, or other relevant fields.·       At least two years of working experience, preferably in international organization and in environment and natural resources management related issues..·       Experienced in project management, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation is an asset.·       Willingness to work overtime when required.·       Proficiency in using advanced functions of standard computer packages.·       Good knowledge of and some experience in specialized administrative/operational support functions(e.g., database management, knowledge management, task         management, major event/course planning, etc.).·       Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize and deliver assignments in a timely manner often under time pressures.·       Excellent communication skills.·       Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to work in a team-oriented, multi-cultural environment.·       Ability to adapt to dynamic changes.·       Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (speaking and writing).·       Excellent writing skills.
 Expected duration of contract

 The selected candidate is expected to work with the team maximum of 150 days/year (World Bank’s fiscal year).
