KOMPAK Program

KOMPAK is an Australia-Indonesia government partnership supporting the Government of Indonesia's efforts in reducing poverty through improvements in basic service delivery and creating opportunities for work. KOMPAK focuses its efforts on three result areas:

Supporting Local Governments and Service Units to better address the needs of basic service users;
Supporting the poor and vulnerable to benefit from improved village governance; and
Supporting the poor and vulnerable to benefit from increased opportunities for employment and economic development.

The Opportunity

The Digital Innovation Specialist will provide support and technical assistance to local governments related to the implementation of information technology support in improving public services.


Key Duties

Obtain a high-level overview concerning various aspects (technology, economic, legal, operational, and social) related to information technology support to improve local government public services
Develop a model and roadmap related to implementing information technology support to improve local government public services
Assist and prepare activities that support the preparation of high-level overview, development of models, and roadmaps above
Participating in various discussion and coordination activities organized by KOMPAK or related parties that supported the preparation of high-level overview, development of the model, and road map above

Key Requirements

Experience in conducting studies related to the use of information technology for public services
Experience in developing models and road maps related to the use of information technology for public services
Experience, knowledge, and networking in the development and implement of the internet of things (IoT), blockchain, and other new information technology
Providing good business insight related to information technology in general
Ability to direct and recommend cost-effective creative solutions
A proven track record of delivering products in a technical environment and working with developers on a day-to-day basis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to write thorough feature requirement documents and work with stakeholders and upper management
Understanding of gender equality and social inclusion issues
