WWF-ID is currently seeking for the best candidate for the position of Marine Tourism & Social Officer – IBAS. This position will be based in Koon Island, Maluku and report to Inner Banda Arc Subseascape Project Executant.

This position will act as the focal point for WWF-ID in facilitating the general project implementation in the field, especially those related to Tourism and Social in the Inner Banda Arc Subseascape and manage relations with targeted communities in accordance with project/program objectives, to ensure that they are managed knowledge, awareness and support of local communities towards the WWF-ID program, especially in supporting the development of water conservation areas and protected species conservation in all work areas of the Inner Banda Arc Subseacape and other WWF-ID fields.

The job holder is responsible for the entire activities program including: Fisheries, Marine Protected Area (MPA), Social and Tourism as well as other related aspects in the Koon Island, Gorom, Geser, and surrounding areas. In addition, to provide technical cooperation support internally with other relevant units to achieve project targets/targets in the Maluku region.

Requirements for this position are:
Minimum Bachelor Degree (S-1) or above with Fisheries Science, Marine Biology,  Marine Science, Oceanography, Environmental Science or other relevant major
Minimum 2 years of working experience MPA development, fisheries management, marine tourism, social assistance/community groups/customs.
Experience working with local communities, NGOs and the government
Willing to work and travel in remote areas
