The EcoNusa Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to enhance various local initiatives of Tanah Papua at national and international levels in an effort to provide support for sustainable management of natural resources in Indonesia. The EcoNusa Foundation was established on July 21, 2017 in Jakarta. EcoNusa encourages the development of the capacity of civil society organizations to conduct advocacy, campaigns, communication, stakeholder engagement, and dialogue among stakeholders to meet the sustainable management of natural resources and promote transparency, conservation, and equality values. To achieve its mission, EcoNusa carries out several programs including: Local Community Resilience, Policy Advocacy, Eastern Indonesia Communication Center, and Local Economic Development.

Creative Designer    

Duty Station: Jakarta


The Creative Designer provides end-to-end graphic design solutions across digital, print and promotional collateral in support of EcoNusa Digital Communication. The role ensures EcoNusa brand guidelines are maintained and provides expert design advice and creative input into communication and program development.


·         Creates exceptional and engaging audience experiences that inspire action through innovative use of design.

·         Designs and produces creative assets for use across all digital channels, including social media, EDM and web, incorporating brand campaign IDs, hero art visuals, digital display, infographics, animations and motion graphics.

·         Provides end-to-end graphic design solutions across print and promotional collateral

·         Develops supporter communications, including annual reports, newsletters, stakeholder communications, presentations and reports.

·         Engages with printers, freelance designers and agencies for the outsourcing of creative and production.

·         Sources and curates digital assets, including images, video, and graphics

·         Assists the content and digital team in re-purposing digital assets for multiplatform formats

·         Manages asset requests from internal and external partners

·         Maintains and updates EcoNusa core brand assets and templates and conducts regular brand audits

·       Builds and maintains relationships with photographers, image libraries and illustrators, designers and negotiates licences, copyright permissions and purchase agreements

·       Ensures appropriate usage rights permissions have been secured and documented, and that video and images comply with EcoNusa's policies, including child protection standards

·         Ensures the EcoNusa brand is used in line with brand guidelines across all communications materials

·         Maintains production calendars to achieve deadlines

·         Contributes to operational planning, systems, processes, delivery and reporting


·         4-year experience in Graphic Design, or equivalent education or experience

·         Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio

·         Up to date with industry leading software (Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Indesign) and technologies

·         Be process driven, possess strong design skills and show careful attention to detail

·         Experience developing content, using peer-reviewed research and other respected sources

·         Passionate about communications design and marketing

·         Adheres to EcoNusa’s values, which are: Knowledgeable, Optimistic, Determined and Engaging 

Internal – Works under communication team
External – Coordinates with vendors, NGO Partners and others stakeholder
