THE GLOBAL HEALTH SECURITY AGENDA (GHSA) SECRETARIAT

Palladium is appointed by USAID to manage USAID-funded Health technical Assistance Project (BANTU), to support USAID Indonesia’s Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS) by rapidly leveraging specialized short and long-term technical assistance to USAID, USAID-funded programs; the Government of Indonesia (GOI), and other organizations and agencies as required.

We are currently seeking one (1) personnel to be seconded to the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) Secretariat of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (MOH). 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Ministry of Health and USAID has a long history of collaboration towards the improvement of the health status in Indonesia. As outlined in the Assistant Agreement No. 497-AA-030 and the Individual Arrangement (IA) of Health Portfolio, the new and emerging infectious diseases is one of the thematic areas of cooperation. Given the strong commitment of the Ministry of Health of Indonesia and USAID to contribute to the attainment of national and global health security, support will also be provided for GHSA 2024.

Palladium is recruiting for Indonesian (local hire) of one (1) secretariat staff to be seconded to the GHSA Secretariat of the MOH to provide support for the GHSA Secretariat activities taken by Indonesia. The seconded personnel will monitor, deposit, maintain and respond to the GHSA’s Indonesia’s electronic email under the Bureau of International Cooperation (BIC) direction. The individual will also communicate with GHSA’s Chair and Member countries, draft GHSA’s quarterly newsletter and maintain its website, as well as provide technical support in national, regional and global GHSA activities. This is a long-term position, based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

REQUIREMENT: Master’s degree in Communication, Management, and/or Social Science with Global Health knowledge is desirable, minimum of 3 years of experience and knowledge in international, regional and national Health issues, proficiency in written and spoken English proven by minimum TOEFL ITP score of 600, proficient in MS Office and illustrative presentation, with proactive and can-do attitude.

This is a full-time assignment, and based in Jakarta.
