We are searching for…

A Program Officer (PO) for “Building Resilience through Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration to

Prevent Violent Extremism in Indonesia” project. The anticipated, 18 months- State Department funded. This project will build Indonesian government and local capacity to address factors related to the spread of violent extremist ideology in Indonesia, with a focus on enhancing local resilience to foreign and domestic religious narratives used to spread violent extremist ideology, promoting alternative positive narratives, and improving national rehabilitation and reintegration (R&R) programs to decrease the risks of returnees to embrace violent extremist ideologies. The project will focus on at-risk communities and vulnerable population groups.

The PO will report to Program Manager and will oversee the technical and programmatic management on establishing or improving GOI and targeted communities and vulnerable population groups and capacities essential to enabling the rehabilitation and reintegration of former radicalized members of society and CSO empowerment aspects of the program. This includes project planning, preparation, implementation, monitoring, documentation, reporting to relevant supervisor, and building linkages with project partners, government institutions, and others relevant CSOs. The position is located in Jakarta but will require some travel to remote regions.


Your contribution:


●      Managing program technicalities development as appropriate.

●      To assist Program Manager in program cycle including program start up and close down, developing and executing work plans, preparing costed work                   plans, and budget management

●      In close collaboration with Finance team in accordance with standard operating procedure and donor guidelines and regulations ensure strict financial monitoring and controls of the program.

 

●      Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all program stakeholders including government, donors, media, local civil society and partners.

●      Provide capacity building and support to project partners, government institutions, and others relevant CSOs

●      Provide oversight and coordination of partners’ project implementation.

●      Ensure high-caliber program methodology across all areas of work.

 


 


 


You are…


You meet the following qualifications if:


Minimum a bachelor’s degree in conflict resolution, international development, or project management

A minimum of three (3) years of work experience especially in the field of conflict resolution, violent extremism, international development or project management

Experience in managing operations and financial administration of State Department-funded projects. 

Experiences and knowledge of peace building and conflict resolution programming and programs.

Fluent in English, experience in writing  reports to donor in English.

Good and proven skills and experiences in communicating with donors, partners and CSOs

Experiences in coaching, mentoring, and training of local partners.

Good level of analytical and critical thinking skills.

Good networking and relationship building experiences and skills

Driven by results, able to manage stressful situations and must be self-motivated.
