In January 2020 the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of a new coronavirus disease, COVID-19, to be a Public Health Emergency of International Concern and in March 2020 it declare as a pandemic. Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), as a medical humanitarian organization with mandate to provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare is taking up active role as Ministry of Health’s partner in supporting COVID-19 response in Indonesia. MSF has been implementing COVID-19 response interventions in DKI Jakarta Province following the cases-load. Realizing that primary health facility and community play important roles in managing epidemics/pandemics, MSF is keen to strengthen the role and capacity of primary health facilities/Puskesmas and community in COVID-19 prevention and control as well as mental health and psychosocial support. |
Main Purpose |
|
Ensure completion of all activities related to medical data entry and data management into the mission database. Supervise, organize and plan the activity of Data Entry officers/operators, as well as identify their training needs in order to provide a good service support and reliability of the data collected. |
Responsibility |
|
· Supervise, organise and plan the data activities of the mission, to have a reliable record of medical activity performed, as well as identify gaps and areas to improve in order to provide a good service support and reliability of the data collected. · Ensure collation and entry of all data identified by project managers for collection; managing data systems and ensuring accurate, high quality databases; analysing results and preparing regular written reports on progress and findings for medical coordinator/HQ and when appropriate to external collaborators/networks (MoH, other NGOs, etc.) · Know and ensure proper use of software used for recording (i.e. DHIS2 etc.). · Ensure accuracy of the medical data entered into the mission’s database on a regular basis, according to MSF protocols and carry out regular back-ups. · Provide technical support and quality control to data entry officers/operators in project sites and give response to their training needs. · Carrying out key epidemiological activities in outbreak investigation in collaboration with MedCo/Deputy MedCo (with emphasis on mapping when it is needed) and advising on the operational response

Requirements | |

|
Education | Essential proven computer literacy, secondary education or qualifications either in administration, data entry or in statistics. Medical or paramedical degree in desirable. Experience in public health or epidemiology. |
Experience | Essential working experience of at least 2 years in similar field. |
Languages | Local languages and mission language essential. |
Knowledge | Essential computer literacy (MS Office) |
