Palladium is appointed by USAID to manage USAID-funded Health technical Assistance Project (BANTU), to support USAID Indonesia’s Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS) by rapidly leveraging specialized short and long-term technical assistance to USAID, USAID-funded programs; the Government of Indonesia (GOI), and other organizations and agencies as required.

We are currently seeking two (2) short-term COVID-19 Consultants to be seconded to the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs to oversee data related to COVID-19 vaccination.

JOB SUMMARY:

The USAID/Indonesia Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) program is looking for two (2) short-term Consultants to oversee data gathering and visualization of COVID-19 prioritization of group population, scenario of distribution of the vaccine, and evaluation of distribution and implementation/vaccination. The individuals will support and assist the Assistant Deputy, Pharmacy, Agribusiness and Tourism of the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs in the preparation of targeted and fair COVID-19 vaccine distribution, including protocol development, supply chain roadmap and information system, and provide policy recommendations. S/he will coordinate with various parties to obtain population data (demographic, group population, etc.) and process the obtained data. The consultants will create a modelling in calculating the number of needed vaccines at the national level to the district/city level, scenario in distributing vaccines throughout Indonesia, evaluation report related to vaccine distribution, and provide recommendations for improving the quality of vaccine distribution. The individuals will also need to write reports including administrative, operational, and financial, maintain data confidentiality, and provide inputs to the development of simple and practical knowledge management mechanisms.

These short-term positions are for Indonesian (local hire) with working period until June 30, 2021. The day-to-day technical guidance and leadership will be under the Assistant Deputy, Pharmacy, Agribusiness and Tourism in the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and Emerging Infectious Diseases Team Lead, USAID Office of Health.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacist, public health, or technical sciences; proficient in MS office software for data processing and surveying tools (SurveyMonkey, Google forms, Open Data Kit) including Google platforms (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmeet, Calendar); knowledge in other mobile data collection platforms (Power BI, Tableu etc.) and experienced in carrying out surveys or conducting qualitative and quantitative data collection; have strong technical skills including ability to compile and interpret material of logistic; experienced in creating communication materials (success stories, factsheets, infographics); excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Indonesia; fast learner on topics related to public health, international donors, Government of Indonesia systems, challenges, and opportunities of the health sector in Indonesia at the national and sub-national levels; strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, multi-tasked and results-driven with ability to work in a team and meet deadlines under minimum supervision.
