Yayasan Indonesia Cerah (“CERAH”) is a non-profit organisation established on 11 October 2018. The organisation focuses on the issues of clean energy and environment. CERAH promotes the narrative of shifting Indonesia’s policy in energy transition as a lead in providing strategic communication to amplify key messages in the narrative of clean energy and its transition in Indonesia, cultivating and enhancing stakeholder engagement and providing recommendations to policy makers.
CERAH has been collaborating with multiple stakeholders and prominent figures, the media, and civil society organisations to educate and raise awareness highlighting issues such as good governance and corruption, air pollution and the health impact of energy choices and renewable energy future and how that affects lifestyle and jobs.
To assist the ever-growing team, CERAH is looking for Junior Associate – Climate Communications to assist our Climate Communications Specialist, the scope of work of the junior associate will include:
1. Expand the narrative in support of the KPOP campaign targeting Tokopedia to help lend a business and finance angle to the global narrative. Currently the KPOP campaign narrative is boxed into lifestyle/culture content and there is a need to help it break into the political and business space to amplify its potential impact.
2. Engage mainstream business media intensively on a business narrative to help break the KPOP Tokopedia campaign to the business and finance circuit and thereby lending it bigger momentum.
3. Find and reach out new voice of speaker opportunities for KPOP campaigners and shape a few more KPOP voices as there are increasing opportunities for climate youth leading up to COP 26.
4. Track media and political impact of KPOP campaign by means of media monitoring, social listening and qualitative survey (interviews)
5. Other task (s) as assigned by Climate Communications Specialist.
Requirements:
1. Experiences 2-3 years on media relations or journalistic.
2. Good knowledge on Kpop and its environment (fandom) or music Industry.
3. Eager to make connections with the KPOP community.
4. Experiences on social media engagement.
5. Good communication and writing skills.
6. Good command in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
7. Passionate and have good knowledge on climate change and energy
Duration and Fee:
The duration of work is 4 months covering from 01/09/2021 – 31/12/2021. The Junior Associate will receive a lump sum of fee of IDR 8.000.000,-/month (excl. personal income tax, insurance, equipment, and other expenses unless agreed upon in advance).
