The USAID Indonesia Urban Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Penyehatan Lingkungan Untuk Semua (IUWASH PLUS) program is a five year-and-eight months initiative designed to assist the Government of Indonesia (GOI) in increasing access to water supply and sanitation services as well as improving key hygiene behaviors among urban poor and vulnerable populations. USAID IUWASH PLUS works with governmental agencies, the private sector, NGOs, communities and others to achieve the following "high level" results:
1. An increase of 1,100,000 people in urban areas with access to improved water supply service quality, of which at least 500,000 are from the poorest 40% of the population (also referred to as the “Bottom 40%” or “B40”), vulnerable groups or Indonesia’s eastern provinces; and
2. An increase of 500,000 people in urban areas with access to safely managed sanitation.
To ensure that improvements in access to WASH services are sustained, USAID IUWASH PLUS is guided by a development hypothesis that focuses on strengthening service delivery systems, so they can more effectively reach the poorest and most vulnerable segments of the population. In order to achieve this at scale, the program undertakes activities through four interrelated components, including: 1) improving household WASH services; 2) strengthening city WASH institutional performance; 3) strengthening the WASH financing environment; and 4) advancing national WASH advocacy, coordination and communication. In support of these components, USAID IUWASH PLUS also implements a Local Sustainability and Innovation Component (LSIC) that is designed to stimulate WASH innovations that strengthen community, private sector and government WASH service provision.
To achieve these outcomes IUWASH-PLUS need high caliber candidates to fill the position of
Individual Consultant of Content Creator for WASH Sector, Malang, East Java (JOB CODE: STTA/CCWS_EJRO)
Scope of Works
The Content Creator for WASH Sector will assist IUWASH PLUS staff at the local level to ensure that KIM has a communication plan in WASH sector for at least for 12 months and ensure KIM can implement the communication plan. In addition, he/she should assist KIM in connecting to other sources of information (social media) related to the WASH sector. His/her responsibilities and duties will involve supporting IUWASH PLUS regional personnel in assisting KIM through:
1. Assisting KIM in Kota Malang in WASH mainstreaming
2. Ensuring that KIM has Lurah’s Decree (Surat Keputusan Lurah) to strengthen the formation of KIM and the position of KIM in disseminating information, including in the WASH sector.
3. Assisting KIM in maintaining their social media as a dissemination information channel, including in the WASH sector.
4. Assisting KIM to make the communication plan for the WASH sector for at least 12 months.
5. Ensuring that KIM implements the communication plan that has already developed.
6. As needed, assisting KIM to make content for their social media (photography, videography, etc.) based on their communication plan.
7. Connecting and channeling KIM with other social media in WASH mainstreaming, either in Kota Malang or national level.
8. Maintaining the communication about KIM’s progress to Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Kota Malang.
9. Maintaining regular contact with USAID IUWASH PLUS personnel joining IUWASH meetings and providing advice as indicated.
10. Providing input and recommendation for the KIM mentoring module that is currently being developed by USAID IUWASH PLUS.
11. Providing other support services as requested.
Required Qualifications:
· Minimum a bachelor degree in a relevant field;
· Has experience as content creator for social media or digital marketer;
· Has experience as a social media administrator for company;
· Has experience working in WASH sector;
· Has good relationship with Pemerintah Kota Malang, specially Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika;
· Has experience working with USAID is an advantage;
· Preferably live in Kota Malang and surrounding;
· Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
