Summary

 

ChildFund International in Indonesia with support from Sweden Insititute through ChildFund Sweden is contributing to Youth Voice Now Project in Kabupaten Sikka, NTT province. This project contribute to strengthened CP system through improve capacity and participation of youth to be recognized as significant stakeholder in the local, and national government and Youth ability to articulate issues of concern relating to climate, violence and child rights.  

The ultimate goal of this project to promote improve governance process, transparency, and accountability at local and national level for youth safe and inclusive protective environment in policy making process 

The outcomes of this project:

1.     Youth recognized as significants stakeholder in the local and national government

2.     Global awareness of youth ability to articulate issues of concern relating to climate, violence and child rights.

 
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

LEADERSHIP

·       Provide leadership in the implementation of project activities within approved plans, budgets, and agreements, and in compliance with organizational policies/ procedures, operational systems, and donor requirements and regulations.

·       In partnership with ChildFund’s technical specialist, provide mentorship  and oversight youth voice now group, young leaders against violence and a youth led violence group in Sikka, NTT

·       In collaboration with Partners Manager (PIMPRO),  partners officers especially person in charge for Youth Voice Now and Parners’s Youth Coordinator to ensure and reach project quality delivery in a district of Sikka, NTT  

·       In partnership with ChildFund’s technical team assist with social media and content development focused on social norms change and youth prevention and youth led

·       Produce project learning in each stage of Youth Voice Now project
·       Ensure the implementation of the project executed as in proposal approval (end to end)

  

STRATEGIC PLANNING

·       Contribute to ensure end to end of implementation, and do routine/ regular monitoring program activities by providing technical inputs based on relevant field-based experiences. 

·       Conduct program/project monitoring visits, and spot checks in the areas of assignment and address identified performance problems or discrepancies.

·       Conduct policy and procedure assesmnets and recommendations as it relates to end violence against children and climate change

·       Bringing the project to get buy-in and consider as a model by district government Ensure knowledge management of the project end to end

 

NETWORK/PARTNERSHIP/ADVOCACY

·       Build relationships and collaborate with partners (GO’s, NGOs, institutions, media, particularly online platforms and others) to speed up the project implementation, increase resource sharing and complementation (financial, technical, etc.).

  • Maintain a positive relationship with a donor through preparation and submission of timely and high-quality reports and documentation.
  • Work with the finance team to manage the budgets, track spending, and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Liaise with ChilFund network and update the project in the network
  • Introducing the project and build quality relationship with Dinas Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak Sikka and Lembaga Perlindungan Anak NTT Province

 

CAPACITY BUILDING

  • Assist and collaborate with concerned staff in the conduct of initiatives aimed to enhance program quality and secure additional funding to support and expand services to enrolled families and children.
  • Provide technical skills and manage training as planned in the project

 

QUALITY of PROGRAM

  • Ensure the quality of program delivery as agreed standard that has been developed in the project proposal
  • Working closely with Child Protection and Advocacy Specialist to ensure the tecnical quality of the program delivered

 

CHILD SAFEGUARDING

·       Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the child safeguarding policy

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

·       At least 5 years of experience in working in human service or social services and/or with a non-profit organization, preferably a community organization.

·       At least 2 years of experience in working on issue of youth sexual violence prevention, climate change, youth development principles, and youth involvement in media advocacy, would be considerable

·       Understanding and active on social media, would be an extra preferable

·       Computer proficiency in general office software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)

·       Experience in facilitating training to the community; experience in facilitating training to young people, government staffs, and community,

·       Demonstrated experience with the program cycle management (PCM)  is preferred

·       Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English; 

·       Good oral/written communication and organizational skills
·    Must be able to travel to project locations; where applicable

 

EDUCATION

 

Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, social science , preferably Social Work or relevant human services discipline with experience working with youth, or equivalent relevant work experience; advanced degree desirable.
