FOREST CONCESSION MANAGEMENT SENIOR MANAGER (FCMSM)

 

Forest Concession Management Senior Manager oversees all aspects of a significant program area on forest concession acquisition and management encompassing a large, complex geography.  Provides strategic leadership and support for the Conservancy’s conservation planning work and establishes overall conservation priorities for one or more divisions or major initiatives. 

 

Forest Concession Management Senior Manager (FCMSM) will be in charge in developing and implementing conservation strategies, particularly conservation in natural production forests.

FCMSM will be playing key roles in identifying all the resources, data and budget needed for the pre-project development and project implementation, and coordinate relevant staff from Indonesia Program, Asia Pacific, and Global Team. FCMSM will facilitate all processes of partnership agreement with all potential partners in developing business plans, managing natural forest and lead the implementation of sustainable natural forest management and conservation business in a close collaboration with public and private partners.

 

Qualifications:

•            BA/BS degree and 10 years’ experience in conservation practice or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•            Excellent knowledge on regulations related to natural forest management in Indonesia

•            Experience in developing long term and annual management plan for natural forest concession

•            Experience in developing and implementing best practices of natural forest management

•            Experience or knowledge in forest-based business development

•            Experience directing a major program or project of strategic importance, including management/supervision of multi-disciplinary teams and meeting deadlines.

•            Experience working with current trends and practices in relevant discipline(s) and geographic regions.

•            Supervisory experience, including motivating, leading, setting objectives and managing performance.

•            Experience in partnership development with non-profit partners, community groups and/or   government agencies.                                       

•            Experience negotiating                                          

•            Experience influencing, developing, and implementing conservation policy and plans at the state or country level.

 

 

PRODUCTION FORESTRY SENIOR MANAGER (PFSM)

•            Post graduate degree and 10 years’ experience in conservation practice or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•            Fundraising experience, including identifying donor prospects and donor cultivation.

•            Experience directing a major program or project of strategic importance, including management/supervision of multi-disciplinary teams and meeting deadlines.

•            Experience working with current trends and practices in relevant discipline(s) and geographic regions.

•            Supervisory experience, including motivating, leading, setting objectives and managing performance.

•            Experience developing partnerships (partners, community, government).                                                   

•            Negotiation skills.                                                                            

•            Experience influencing, developing, and implementing conservation policy and plans at the state or country level.

•            Experience with financial management of a large program.
