Background
Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) is an Indonesia think tank on energy and environment, based in Jakarta. IESR aims to accelerate low carbon energy transition in Indonesia and address its impacts to Indonesia economy and society. IESR produces data and science based analysis for policy makers, stakeholders and public.
IESR is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for Data Information & Knowledge Management.
The selected person’s responsible are:
1. Identify the need for data to support overall IESR’ work
2. Acquire data from primary and/or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
3. Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
4. Identifying patterns and trends in data sets
5. Validating data (in cooperation with the research team or program managers)
6. Update and create the database and regularly back-up this database
7. Potentially support research team and communication team in collecting data and/or visualizing data
8. Develop or suggest methodologies for data mining
9. Provide regular information about data/information stored in data-base system to research group
10. Coordinate with CEH, communication team to identify and list data & information to be provided to the public via IESR’s te.id platform.
Qualification
1. Passionate to work and drive-by high personal motivation for making a change to the community
2. Highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, efficient, and accurate
3. University degree in sciences, math, engineering, advanced degree or diploma/certificate in data science is an advantage
4. Advance skill in MS Excel
5. SQL query language skills are a plus
6. Familiar with data collection, data analysis tools (e.g. R-Programming, Tableau, other)
7. Familiar with statistics technic for data processing
8. Able to use data visualisation tool (e.g data viz, tableau, etc)
9. Understand research technique and methodology
10. Professional level of English, both oral and written
11. Good interpersonal and communication skills
12. Take charge of self-development, creative, and able to take initiative
13. Professional attitude, discipline, able to multitask, and can work under pressure
Salary: IESR’s rate, depends on qualifications
Starting date: Feb 2022
