Vacancy Announcement: Child Welfare and Protection (CWP) Program Coordinator - Based in Jakarta

Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia (YRII) is an independent humanitarian and development organization. YRII, previously Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia as globally with Islamic Relief Worldwide we have been fighting poverty and injustice for 30 years, in a world where more than three billion people still live in poverty.

 

Country Purpose:

Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia has been operating since 2003, and officially became the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia in January 2022. The objective of the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia program is to contribute to the social welfare of the Indonesian people and to alleviate suffering. The main sector for the programme include:

 

·       Water and Sanitation

·       Sustainable livelihood

·       Education

·       Child Welfare

·       Shelter

·       Disaster Risk Reduction

 

The geographical area: NTB, Aceh, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi and Jakarta Province and will be expanded to all regions of Indonesia according to the development of the organization. The implementation of the program is carried out directly by YRII or through cooperation partners.

 

Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia is seeking  Child Welfare and Protection (CWP) Program Coordinator based in Jakarta.

Reporting Line:

For this particular assignment, you will perform your duties under the direct supervision of the Deputy CEO-1

 

Job purpose:

The purpose of this post is to help manage and develop Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia’s Child welfare program. Main duties include managing and developing all aspects of project identification, preparation, implementation, development, monitoring and evaluation, support and Training.

Specific Skills &Responsibilities:

1. Develop and present proposals in co-ordination with the country director and head of  

    program regarding various areas of intervention in Indonesia.
2. Initiate and implement projects once IRW and donors has given approval.

3. Be responsible for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of assigned projects.
4. Be responsible for providing direction and management to project officers and related field

    staff, including the development of job descriptions and work plans.

5. Supervise and prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports on project 
 

    specific activities.
6. Co-ordinate with local and international NGOs and other official agencies.
7. Provide appropriate training activities to program and project staff in collaboration with the

    Deputy CEO-1
8. Be responsible for ensuring project staff grievances and disciplinary matters are fairly dealt

    with in accordance with YRII policy and code of conduct.
9. Outline the resource requirement of projects and periodically assess their appropriateness 
 

    to meeting short and long-term needs.
10. Implement, monitor and evaluate existing One to One Sponsorship Program.
11. Provide technical assistance and advice in the production of orphans (OTO) reports &

      bio-data's, standardizing them throughout the region.
12. Provide regular and refreshment training in Child Protection 
13. Provide guidance on the strategic development and expansion of orphan's programmes.
14. Will be the overall Designated Child Protection Officer for Indonesia, which would

      include responding to any specific concerns, raised in the field office.

Experience/Education:

 

·       A minimum of five years experience of working for an international NGO.

·       A proven record of designing & implementing development programmes

·       Experience in programme planning, monitoring, evaluation and appraisal

·       Good understanding of development and relief issues as well as appreciation of cultural and social differences.

·       Understanding and commitment to principles of child rights and child
protection

Skills:

·       Excellent programme management skills

·       Excellent networking, communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Language: Excellent written and spoken English

·       IT skills: Excellent skills and knowledge of Windows, Office and Internet
applications.

·       Diplomacy, tact & negotiation skills.

·       Development and implementation of appropriate policies, procedures and
administrative systems.
