Graphic Designer Consultant
Overview
Rikolto is an international NGO with its international office in Leuven, Belgium, having more than 40 years' experience partnering with farmers' organisation and food chain actors across Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. In Indonesia, Rikolto operates in 7 provinces and focuses on 5 main commodities (rice, coffee, cocoa, cinnamon, seaweed) and 2 thematic initiatives (Food Smart City and Payment for Ecosystem Services).
We support smallholder farmers to take up their role in rural poverty alleviation and to contribute to feeding a growing world population in a sustainable way.
Rikolto runs programmes in 15 countries worldwide through eight regional offices. We’re a close-knit network of accessible and knowledgeable colleagues, willing to share experience and eager to inspire others. We are currently looking for an external consultant for the following position:
Graphic Designer Consultant
Main Objective:
- Production of creative visuals for internal and external communications needs of Rikolto Indonesia.
- Update design and improve of Rikolto’s communication materials
Responsibilities & Deliverables
The graphic designer works closely with communication team and expected to carry out specific assignment in communication aspects. The graphic designer will design, develop and create communication and publication materials to support the communication department.
The following assignments are:
- Video production as follows:
- Coffee farm to cup partner videos
- Impact story videos
- #YouthinAg video
- Sustainable rice campaign video
- Thank you video 2021
- Design communication materials (digital and printing versions):
- Rikolto brochures (Rikolto’s profile brochure, brochure for the specific programme: coffee, rice, cocoa, FSC, PES)
- Rikolto Annual report 2020
- Impact storybook
- Design promotional materials for printing such as banner for Rikolto activities, merchandise (i.e: tumbler, bags, notebook, calendar 2022,t-shirt, etc) and other promotional material as agreed.
- Produce communication assets:
- Updated document templates, such as letterhead and powerpoint
- Maps, icons, infographics
Consultancy Period and Work Location
The consultancy period is maximum for 6 (six) months to complete the assignment starting June 2021 with clear timeline of each deliverable.
The consultant is not required to be based in Rikolto office in Denpasar but travel to Denpasar might be required within this consultancy period. The consultant will ensure good internet connection in his/her place to ensure good virtual communication.
Report progress of work
The consultant will frequently update / provide progress of his/her work to the Communication Coordinator and is expected to provide input or recommendations if any problems occurred in completing the works in time.
Qualifications and requirements :
- Proven video production and graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Minimum five years of working experience in multimedia creation
- Knowledgeable in working with design software such as Adobe Premiere, After Effect, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Consistently strives to deliver creative and engaging visuals
- Great attention to details
- Possible to travel to project location if needed
