Yayasan Tambuhak Sinta (YTS), a Kalimantan-based foundation head-quartered in Palangka Raya, is striving to improve the quality of governance and well-being of people in Central Kalimantan. YTS works closely with communities, local government and the private sector to achieve this objective. We currently have three program area units and are searching for a Program Manager to provide hands-on management of all YTS programs and projects.
Candidates must be committed to develop Central Kalimantan and lead the Program Unit empowering rural communities to become strong and independent so they are able to manage their long term development in line with local resources and community aspirations. She or he must be able to see things systematically; have analytical and critical way of thinking, helicopter view as well as good in detail. S/he is a programmatic and result oriented person, yet focuses on improving the process. Able to interact easily with people from a variety of cultural and social backgrounds is a must.
We require the following background experience and qualities for this position:
Background in NGO management and strategic development
Deep understanding of the social development sector in Indonesia and globally
Practical experience and understanding of:
- Program/Project Cycle Management- Participatory development approaches and methods- Integrated planning and development- Community empowerment
Knowledge and experience working with CSR in natural resources sector
Strong research and analytical skills
Proven hands-on program, organisational, and financial management skills
Strong communication, writing and reporting skills
Excellent leadership, team-building and personnel management skills
Minimum a University degree in a relevant subject
Prior work experience in a multicultural setting
Excellent language skills – Bahasa Indonesia and English. Understanding of Dayak is appreciated but not mandatory
Excellent computer skills – word processing, spreadsheet, internet
Able to travel, live and work in remote locations
This position will be based in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan. Dayaknese and local residents are highly encouraged.
