[AMISEWAKA - DLCC] IT Technician & Teacher - DESA LES, BALI

 AMISEWAKA  - Desa Les Community Center is a vocational training center based in Desa Les, Tejakula, North Bali.  This facility will provide education to primarily low income students in a variety of vocational and sustainable subjects - culinary skills, permaculture, Living Values Education and Cultural Preservation, as well as assist in job procurement.  Students will be on campus for 12 months; then do a 6-month internship.

We are looking for someone to teach full-time English to 60 students. We want our students to be able to hold substantial conversations after 12 months of study.

IT TECHNICIAN & TEACHER

The position is two-fold:  1) as IT technician and 2) as computer literacy teacher

 Responsibiliites as IT Technician:

1. Ensuring that the computer and wifi system at Amisewaka is running smoothly
2. Troubleshooting computers and wifi when necessary
3. Perform Regular Hardware and Software Updates on Classroom IT Devices
4. Maintain and manage hardware such as computers, printers, scanners, projectors, and digital whiteboards.
5. IT technician should be able to solve basic IT problems including Networking, Switches, Internet, Routing, WiFi and Computer Systems. 
6. Performing updates to hardware, software, networks, and operating systems networks - to make sure all the devices in the computer lab are networked and working properly

Responsibilities for IT computer literacy Teacher:

1. Have a good understanding of the latest IT trends and have a passion for sharing their knowledge with their students.
2. Create a one year curriculum for Amisewaka students
3. Teach students about the principles of technology and how to use basic information technology tools in their work and lives.
4. Teaching basic Microsoft Office skills and how to use the internet to access proper information for learning. Emphasis will be on Excel (financial management) and Word. 
5. Teaching basic writing skills for letters and resumes.

Requirements:

1. Indonesian nationality
2. S-1 Degree in Computer Science/Education or the equivalent
3. At least three (3) years in similar positions
4. They should be able to teach at the elementary, middle, and high-school level.
5. Know the Basics of Computers; familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, and Illustrator and grade book software
6. You must be familiar with both Windows and Apple operating systems,Websites / HTML 
7. Familiar with Hardware - computers (Apple and PC), tablets, printers, scanners, projectors, and digital whiteboards
8. The ability to install networking, Wi-Fi, servers, and troubleshoot any IT issues
9. Excellent written and oral skills in English and Indonesian
10. Willing to be on-call and come to the office when there is a problem.
11. Willingness to integrate Living Values Education into your classes.
12. A passion for your work and compassion for those less fortunate. You will be honest, trustworthy, detail oriented, a team player but able to think independently and quickly.
