AMISEWAKA - Desa Les Community Center is a vocational training center based in Desa Les, Tejakula, North Bali. This facility will provide education to primarily low income students in a variety of vocational and sustainable subjects - culinary skills, permaculture, Living Values Education and Cultural Preservation, as well as assist in job procurement. Students will be on campus for 12 months; then do a 6-month internship.
We are looking for someone to teach full-time English to 60 students. We want our students to be able to hold substantial conversations after 12 months of study.
ENGLISH TEACHER
Responsibilities:
- To create a English language curriculum suitable for our students
- To teach in a laboratory situation using an online platform
- Students will study 6 hours a week (3 classes @ 2 hours each). Classes will consist of no more than 20 students (3 separate classes of 20 students each).
- Willingness to integrate Living Values Education into your teachings.
Requirements:
- Indonesian Nationality
- At least a S-1 degree, preferably in English literature or Teaching
- At least 3 years experience teaching English, preferably with a Teaching Degree
- Fluent in written and oral English and Indonesian.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office; internet and website)
- Ability to work independently but also a team player, excellent attention to detail.
- You will be a person with passion for your work and compassion for those less fortunate. Your integrity and honesty and the ability to work with all layers of society will be of utmost importance. A sense of humor interwoven with patience is a must!
- Willingness to undergo Living Values Education training
