Vacancy Announcement: IT Officer based in Jakarta

Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia (YRII) is an independent humanitarian and development organization. YRII, previously Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia as globally with Islamic Relief Worldwide we have been fighting poverty and injustice for 30 years, in a world where more than three billion people still live in poverty.

Country Purpose:

Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia has been operating since 2003, and officially became the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia in January 2022. The objective of the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia program is to contribute to the social welfare of the Indonesian people and to alleviate suffering. The main sector for the programme include:

•        Water and Sanitation

•        Sustainable livelihood

•        Education

•        Child Welfare

•        Shelter

•        Disaster Risk Reduction

•        Climate Change

The geographical area: NTB, Aceh, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi and Jakarta Province and will be expanded to all regions of Indonesia according to the development of the organization. The implementation of the program is carried out directly by YRII or through cooperation partners.

Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia is seeking IT Officer based in Jakarta.

Reporting Line:

Post holder would directly report to Human Resources and Admin Manager.

Job Summary:

The IT Officer maintains the computer networks, equipment of ICT for all offices including field offices, providing technical support and ensuring the whole offices runs smoothly. IT Officer monitors and maintains the YRII computer systems, installs, and configures hardware and software, and solves technical issues as they arise. Coordinate with Logistics Team to ensure the asset of computers and ICT are properly in place, registered and disposed.

Specific Skills and Responsibilities:

·       Ensure that the computers used by employees or users can function and connect to the network properly.

·       Ensure all applications used by employees run properly.

·       Ensure the security of staff and organizational data stored both online and offline employees so that they are not easily stolen by outsiders.

·       To repair all forms of employee computer damage in the shortest possible time, so that it can be immediately used again.

·       Perform periodic updates for all software installed on the computer such as the operating system and any applications on it, so that they run normally without any problems.

·       Setting up the backup process for organizational data and email and individual employee data so that they are easy to find when needed and prevent the risk of losing important data.

·       To restore lost data from backups that were made when the computer system or network experienced problems.

·       Ensuring that all system supports, e.g. printers, scanners, and others, are functioning properly.

·       nstall and configure anti-virus and anti-spyware on computers and other digital devices owned by the company.

·       Scan regularly to ensure the computer is clean from viruses.

·       Understand the basics of computer network science and be able to practice it directly in the field.

·       Understand and master Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Dynamics AX, Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, PDF and so on.

·       Understand Microsoft email, 365, One Drive, MS Teams, ATLAS issues from account creation to setting processes for various organizational needs.

·       Understand domain registration and operation, hosting, cloud VPS, SSL and others

·       Understand the ins and outs of creating and operating physical and cloud servers for the benefit of the organization

·       Fulfill other tasks assigned by the Senior Management Team.

 Experience/Education:

    ·       Minimal 3 years work experience in a similar job

·       Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or similar field study
