For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence by 2030, we are seeking a Consultant, Business Operations for Yayasan IJMI.

Yayasan Integritas Justitia Madani Indonesia (IJMI) is an independent local foundation established in Indonesia per the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Decree AHU0005931.AH.01.12. Tahun 2023 TANGGAL 08 Maret 2023. IJMI Foundation is a partner of International Justice Mission, an international organization that also has a mission in line with IJMI Foundation. In this partnership, IJMI Foundation adopts IJM's systems, models, approaches, and resources that have been trusted and proven to provide the impact that is also expected or targeted by IJMI Foundation.

Our Mission: To protect people in poverty from violence through the rescue of victims, restraint of criminals, restoration of survivors, and strengthening of criminal justice systems.

 

This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia and reports to the Executive Director of Yayasan Integritas Justitia Madani Indonesia

 

Scope and Responsibilities:

This is a short-term consultancy position for an individual consultant/contractor, initially for 3 months or 45 days (between January to April 2024) with potential extension. Overall scope of the consultant is to support the Foundation in developing proper and comprehensive systems and processes for Finance, HR, and Admin operations in collaboration with staff members that promotes effectiveness and efficiency, with appropriate policies in place to support the system.

 

 

The followings are specific objectives for the position:

1.       Design organization wide systems and processes for business operations that integrate Finance, HR, and Administration to support effective and efficient program implementation.

2.      Ensure appropriate policies within the said areas are in place and approved by the Board for implementation in alignment to IJM global policies and Indonesia local law and regulations.

 

 

Responsibilities:

·       Coordinate and collaborate with Finance Lead, Administrator, and the Foundation’s corporate secretary, and regional finance and HR to map current processes and systems and identify gaps.

·       With participation of Indonesia team and regional hub, design appropriate yet simple systems and processes for the Foundation on Finance, HR, and Administration operations, that close the gaps and are applicable to the needs of the Foundation, being compliant to local law and regulations, and support efficiency.

·       In collaboration with Programme Lead, develop specific and appropriate systems and policies that support efficient management of the implementing partners.

·       Identify further potential gaps in business operations capacity that might hinder the Foundation’s future operations, and propose recommendations for capacity building.

·       Mentor existing business operations team members on their daily tasks and identify areas for improvement and capacity building.

·       Consult and collaborate with regional and global staff members to ensure proper alignment of systems, processes, and policies with the global policy and guidelines.

·       Orient the Foundation staff on approved new systems, processes and policies and ensure good understanding for effective application.

·       Support and provide advice on operational issues and challenges on finance, HR, and administration during the consultancy period.

·       Support the Executive Director in ensuring annual compliance report of the Foundation as required by the Government.

·       Carry out other tasks as assigned.

 

Requirements:

·       Indonesian citizen

·       10+ experiences in leading business operations covering finance and HR

·       Understanding Indonesia law and regulations on Foundation and finance and HR requirements

·       Capability to navigate complex relationships internally and externally

·       Experiences in developing and managing internal system, processes, and policies

·       Experiences in managing business initiatives or projects

·       Experiences in institutions compliance 

·       Good analytical skills

·       Excellent interpersonal skills and initiatives at a start-up phase of an institution

·       Good communication skills with good command of English for verbal and writing

Mode of Payment

The consultant will receive a daily rate with a maximum of 45 working days within the consultancy period (January-April 2024). Payments will be made monthly based on the monthly invoice submitted by the consultant on actual working days.
