Indonesia Blue Economy Industry & Market Analysis

 

This Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is issued by Conservation International Foundation (“CI”) in its role as convening organization leading Joint Programme development in Indonesia under the Global Fund for Coral Reef (“GFCR”), a blended finance vehicle established through a coalition between United Nations agencies, financial institutions, and private philanthropy sources to mobilise action and resources to protect and restore coral reef ecosystems. The GFCR is designed to support efforts to incubate and accelerate revenue-generating interventions that can sustainably finance the mitigation and elimination of unsustainable direct and indirect local drivers of coral reef degradation. 

 

A.    Proposed Activities & Scope of Work

 

This RFP is for professional services associated with the preparation and delivery of an industry and market analyses of the following priority sectors within Indonesia:

 

·         Marine Protected Area (MPA) with ecotourism activities;

·         Coral or adjacent habitat restoration activities;

·         Sustainable marine fisheries, including but not limited to mangrove-associated fisheries;

·         Sustainable aquaculture or mariculture;

·         Coastal and/or marine ecotourism, including a particular focus on surf-based tourism;

·         Plastic waste management and infrastructure;

·         Coastal agriculture, including but not limited to mangrove-associated nypa palm and other products;

·         Sewage and wastewater management and infrastructure; and

·         Marine and other land-based pollutants management and infrastructure

 

B.    Deliverables and Delivery Timeline

 

1.     Deliverables. The expected deliverable(s) to be submitted by the Consultant are as follows:

 

(a)   Inception Report. Within [fifteen (15)] days of the execution of the Service Agreement, the Service Provider will prepare and deliver to CI an Inception Report describing the proposed approach, data sources and data collection and analysis methods, and timeline for performance of key activities.

 

(b)   Interim Report. On or before 28 May 2021, Service Provider will deliver an interim report detailing progress on key activities and a summary of interim findings.

 

(c)   Final Report. The Service Provider will prepare and submit a draft version of the final report to CI for review, comment and input, on or before 18 June 2021, with a finalized version of the final report incorporating relevant comments and input due within thirty (30) days thereafter.
