[REPOST - Traineeship Program Notice] GIZ Indonesia for Services for International Staff Unit

The Management of GIZ Indonesia has set the target to align its diverse portfolio with a total annual volume of €34 Mio. (2020), consisting of a variety of clients to the company’s vision and cope with the topic of digital transformation in its services by driving forward innovative, effective and replicable digital approaches and digital skills development through the focus areas of the Indonesian-German development cooperation:

  • energy & climate
  • environment & forestry
  • sustainable economic development & TVET
  • cooperation with the private sector and governance constitutes important cross-cutting issues of the bilateral cooperation.

 

We are seeking 1 (one) qualified Indonesian candidate for the following position:

 

Trainee for the Services for International Staff Unit

 

A.   Responsibilities

 

The incumbent will be assigned in the Services for International Staff Unit in the GIZ Country Office and will  support and assist the unit in providing various services for international staff assigned to Indonesia and their families.

 

 

B.   Tasks

 

In carrying out his/her role, the Services for International Intern performs the following major functions/duties:

Organizing documents

  • Filling expatriate documents;
  • Filling Value-added tax (VAT) documents;
  • Assist in collecting and selecting Value-added tax (VAT) documents;
  • Assist in collecting document of project vehicles;
  • Support in the preparation of documents before submitting to the Indonesian Ministries.

 

General Corporate Tasks

  • Performs administrative and other tasks relevant to the job or organization units when the need arises;
  • Participates in team tasks and other corporate entrepreneurial or strategy-linked endeavors.

 

C.  Required qualifications, competences, and experience

 

Qualifications

  • Fresh graduate bachelor’s degree or Diploma III in administration, public relations, communication, tourism, or international relations.  


Competency Requirements

  • The ability to communicate simply, clearly and effectively with excellent written and editing skills.
  • Assures the quality of results.
  • An ability to work under pressure and to cope with frustration even in difficult situations.
  • Capability to work independently and in a pro-active way.
  • Cooperates constructively and reliably with colleagues.
  • Acts in a politically sensitive way that is appropriate in the given context.
  • A focused and proactive working attitude.
  • Positive attitude in taking responsibilities and new activities.
  • Ability to work in a team and to adapt to an international working environment.

 

Other knowledge, additional competences

  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
  • Very good working knowledge of ITC technologies and computer applications (e.g. MS Office and MS Access would advantage).

 

Please note that you can only apply for this traineeship if you are currently enrolled as a student, or your graduation was no longer than one year ago.

 

Duty Station: Jakarta (during COVID-19 pandemic mostly conducted virtual)
Working Hours: 5 working days per week, 8 working hours per day
Expected Joining Date:  a.s.a.p.
Period of Traineeship: 6 months
Direct Supervisor: Portfolio Manager Indonesia & Timor-Leste, and Head of Unit Services for International Staff
